THE ECOSYSTEM OF MILITARY STARTUPS IN UKRAINE AS A TOOL FOR DEVELOPING AN INNOVATIVE ECONOMY

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to substantiate the role of the military startup ecosystem in the development of the innovative economy of Ukraine and to determine the main conditions for its further formation. The study used methods of analysis, generalization, systematization and comparison to determine the features of the functioning of military-technological startups, areas of their activity, development problems and support mechanisms. It was established that the Ukrainian military technology sector is characterized by rapid scaling, active use of unmanned and robotic systems, artificial intelligence, navigation technologies, secure communications and intelligence. The main barriers to development were identified, including insufficient funding, a shortage of qualified personnel, dependence on imported components, the complexity of scaling and regulatory restrictions. The need for systematic interaction between the state, business, science, investors and the defense sector was substantiated. Priority areas for ecosystem development were proposed, which include expanding funding, testing infrastructure, staffing, production capabilities and international partnership.
