THE ROLE OF CRIS IN IMPLEMENTING AN INSTITUTIONAL RESEARCH DATA MANAGEMENT STRATEGY: CASE OF SUMY STATE UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The implementation of a research data management policy requires higher education institutions and research organizations not only to establish an appropriate regulatory and organizational framework but also to implement integrated digital services that support research data management processes at the institutional level. Using the Scientific Results Management System» (SRMS) at Sumy State University as a case study, the paper demonstrates how digital research data management solutions can be integrated into a university CRIS. The architecture and functions of the Research Data Management Service (RDMS) integrated into a unified scientific results management system SRMS are considered. The relevance of the study is driven by the increasing requirements for the planning, documentation, sharing, and monitoring of research data, as well as by the need to align research data metadata with other types of research information.
