Abstract

The study aims to develop a methodological framework for the classification of Ukraine’s research e-infrastructure as a prerequisite for its integration into the European Research Area. The research is based on the analysis of European approaches to the organization and cataloguing of digital research infrastructures, including practices used within European research and open science initiatives. The methodology combines comparative analysis, systematization, and classification methods to identify key categories of e-infrastructure resources and define the structure of a national database. As a result, a conceptual model of the classifier was developed, covering digital research services, repositories, data infrastructures, computing resources, communication networks, and open science platforms. The proposed approach enables the inventory, monitoring, and coordinated development of national e-infrastructure resources. The findings demonstrate that a unified classification framework can improve interoperability, support strategic decision-making, and facilitate the integration of Ukrainian research infrastructures into the European research and open science ecosystem.
