STRATEGY FOR THE INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF UKRAINE’S AGRI-FOOD SUB-SECTOR DURING THE POST-WAR RECOVERY PERIOD

Purpose. Substantiation of theoretical and methodological foundations and practical instruments for implementing the strategy of innovative development of Ukraine’s agro-food subcomplex during the post-war recovery period based on the comprehensive implementation of digitalization, latest AgroTech solutions, green ecological transition, and creating an attractive educational and production environment for youth in rural areas. Methods. The research is based on systemic and SWOT analysis of agribusiness innovation activity, comparative analysis of digital investment efficiency by leading Ukrainian agroholdings, evaluation of agricultural decarbonization potential, and analysis of state policy documents in the AgroFoodTech sector. Results. It is substantiated that Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction must be grounded in a fundamental structural shift – transitioning from a raw-material model to an industrial-innovative framework based on Industry 4.0/5.0 technologies. The high economic and ecological efficiency of precision agriculture (GPS trackers, soil moisture sensors, UAVs, computer vision), robotics, artificial intelligence, biogas complexes, and biological products is demonstrated. A detailed comparative investment analysis of agroholdings (MHP, Kernel, Astarta-Kyiv) in digital IT platforms is provided, alongside the rationale for university-based R&D hubs. Conclusions. The synergy between agribusiness digitalization, resource-saving ecological practices, and state support for AgroTech is a vital condition for ensuring the global competitiveness of Ukraine's agricultural sector and resolving the shortage of young specialists in rural communities.
